Introduction
Angie King, ACP ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through www.angiekingacp.com (the "Site"), how we use and protect it, and the rights and choices you have. It also includes specific disclosures for California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA/CPRA").
Information We Collect
We collect only the information needed to respond to inquiries and operate the Site:
- Information you provide. When you use the contact form or email us directly, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if you provide it), and the contents of your message.
- Automatically collected information. Like most websites, our Site may collect limited technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and pages viewed, through cookies and similar technologies.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16, and the Site is not directed to children.
How We Use Your Information
- To respond to your inquiries and provide the services you request
- To communicate with you about your matter or engagement
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site
- To comply with legal, regulatory, and professional recordkeeping obligations
We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use your information for targeted advertising.
Cookies and Analytics
The Site uses a small number of cookies that are strictly necessary to deliver the page you requested and to remember your cookie choice. With your consent, we may also use Google Analytics to understand aggregate Site usage (for example, which pages are most visited). Analytics cookies are only set after you accept cookies in the banner shown on your first visit; if you decline, they are not loaded.
You can change or withdraw your cookie choice at any time by clearing site data for this domain in your browser, which will cause the cookie banner to reappear.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Site and deliver email (for example, our website hosting and email delivery providers), and only under contracts that limit their use of the information to those services. We may also disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.
Data Retention
We retain contact form submissions and related correspondence for up to three (3) years after our last meaningful interaction with you, unless a longer period is required by law or professional recordkeeping rules. After that period, we delete or de-identify the information.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), restricted access to systems containing your information, and reputable hosting and email providers. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Right to know what personal information we have collected about you and how we use and disclose it.
- Right to access a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Right to delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain legal exceptions.
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell or share your personal information for these purposes.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information. We do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that would trigger this right.
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
Categories of personal information collected in the last 12 months: identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address) and internet/network activity information (basic Site usage data). We collect this information directly from you and through standard web traffic logs. We disclose it only to the service providers described above, for the business purposes described above.
How to exercise your rights. Send a request to angie@angiekingacp.com with the subject line "California Privacy Request." We will verify your identity by matching the information in your request against information we already hold (for example, the email address you previously used to contact us). You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf; we will require written proof of the authorization. We will respond within the timeframes required by California law.
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. Because we do not engage in these activities, no opt-out is required; however, you may still contact us at angie@angiekingacp.com to confirm your preferences.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here, and continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
